TALLIN, Estonia - Oklahoma resident Kai Shultz was the lone U.S. entry in the 34th Memorial Kristjan Palusalu Memorial International on Saturday.

Competing in 77 kg in Greco-Roman, Shultz wrestled a four-athlete round robin in Pool A of his weight class. He dropped all three bouts by technical fall, competing against two athletes from Finland and one from host Estonia.

Shultz did not advance to Sunday’s medal matches in his weight class, as the top two wrestlers from Pool A advanced.

His final placement, as well as the medal winners, will be determined Sunday.

Shultz competed for NAIA Southeastern University in 2022-23.
