USA Wrestling’s Executive Committee has approved a revision of the qualification standards for the 2021 USA Wrestling Junior and 16U Nationals in Fargo, N.D., July 16-23.
For the boys competitions in 2021 only:
• States shall be allowed to enter up to six wrestlers, per weight, per style, per division.
Automatic qualifiers, which will not count against the aforementioned limit for a state, will be granted to:
• The top four at all USA Wrestling Regionals (placement must be in the same age and style)
• The top eight in U15 Nationals (placement must be in same style)
• The top eight in UWW Cadet Nationals (placement must be in same style)
• The top eight in UWW Junior Nationals (placement must be in same style)
Note: This does not impact participation limits in the Girls divisions, as there are still no limits to roster size.
The U15 Nationals, UWW Cadet Nationals and UWW Junior Nationals have already been held. Results from all three national events are available on FloArena.
This year’s Regional schedule (with links to websites) includes:
May 13-15: Western Regional Championships, North Logan, UT
