Looking for a great competition, while enjoying a vacation in a sunny destination at a four-diamond resort? The 2020 Sunshine Preseason National Duals sounds like the perfect way to mix great wrestling with a fun activity for your team.

The 2020 Sunshine Preseason National Duals will be held at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Fla., November 20-22.

The field has been capped at 48 boys’ teams and 16 girls’ teams, competing on 100,000 square feet of wrestling surface featuring 20 different mats.

The boy’s competition will be for athletes in Grades 6-12, and will feature Folkstyle wrestling. The plan is to allow some elementary and middle school wrestlers to join ranks with high school wrestlers on each team, growing the sport the right way. It is a great opportunity to bring together the wrestling program for an entire community.

The girl’s competition will be for athletes in Grades K-12, with competition on the first day in Folkstyle and on the second day in freestyle. Girls will be able to compete in the scholastic style on day one, then compete in international freestyle on the second day, which is the style that women use in college and the Olympics.

The competition is brought to you by the Florida Amateur Wrestling Association (FAWA), and is a USA Wrestling sanctioned event.

The cost for this amazing opportunity is very reasonable. The team entry and vacation package is $1,700, which covers 19 athletes, 2 coaches and 1 spectator per wrestler for both days. This covers five rooms at the resort for Friday and Saturday night. There are no resort fees, no parking fees and heavily discounted medal plans at many on-site restaurants.

The team entry, for those not needing housing, is $850, which covers 19 athletes, 2 coaches and 1 spectator per wrestler (19) for both days.

Any groups which need parent rooms and additional rooms can use the FAWA Group Rate of just $115 per night, by visiting .https://sunshinenationals.com/

What this means is that for traveling teams, the price is only $90-$115 per wrestler, including the hotel cost. For local teams that do not need housing, the cost is only $45-$57 per wrestler. This cost also includes the spectator cost of $20 for the weekend per spectator!

This event has already attracted nationally-ranked teams. Don’t hesitate to sign up right away, because once the event is filled, there will no additional teams accepted.
