Match of the Day: Jett Strickenberger and Joey Cruz wrestle in the Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals finals

Last weekend at the Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals in Des Moines, Iowa, Jett Strickenberger claimed outstanding wrestler honors in the 11th-12th grade division.
In the 120 pound finals, Strickenberger, a 2019 Greco-Roman Cadet World Team member, faced off with returning champion Joey Cruz of Cruz. At the time, Cruz was ranked No. 1 in the country at 113 pounds by FloWrestling. He also sits sixth on the Class of 2022 Big Board.
Following the match, Strickenberger, a Colorado native, entered the Flo weight class rankings at No. 20. Cruz is now ranked No. 3 at 120 pounds.
