Helen Maroulis has already etched her name in history as the first (and currently only) U.S. women’s freestyle Olympic champion. She is also a two-time Senior World champion, three-time Senior World finalist and one-time Senior World bronze medalist.
At the 2018 Beat the Streets Rumble on the River, Maroulis faced off with Odunayo Adekuoroye of Nigeria. At the time, Adekuoroye was a returning World silver medalist and a 2015 bronze medalist. In 2019, Adekuoroye would add another World bronze to her trophy case.
