Match of the Day: Justin Ruiz defeats four-time World and Olympic medalist Jimmy Lidberg at the 2011 Curby Cup

The 2011 Curby Cup, held in honor of Greco-Roman National Team member Jacob Curby, who passed away at the age of 25, pitted a team of Americans vs. a “Dream Team” assembled from wrestlers all over the World.
The 96 kg matchup featured 2005 World bronze medalist Justin Ruiz taking on Jimmy Lidberg of Sweden. Ruiz, who competed in six Senior World Championships over the course of his career, was bested by Lidberg in the 2010 World bronze medal match. Lidberg was also a 2009 World silver medalist and would go on to earn another World silver in 2011 and an Olympic bronze in 2012.
