With the U.S. Greco-Roman winning World medals at the Cadet, Junior and Senior levels so far this year, the U.S. Greco-Roman U23 World Team looks to continue the streak, sending 10 talented athletes in search of medals at the U23 World Championships in Bucharest, Romania, Nov. 12-18.
Leading the way for the USA are international veterans and World medalists G’Angelo Hancock and Cohlton Schultz. This the second-consecutive year that both Hancock and Schultz are making multiple trips to the World stage.
Just two weeks ago, Hancock completed his second showing at the Senior World Championships, where he finished 23rd. Next week, he looks to improve on that finish, competing at 97 kg/213 lbs.
Only 21 years old, Hancock has made seven World Teams across three age levels. In 2017, he was a part of the Junior, U23 and Senior World Teams.

This season, Hancock won the Senior World Team Trials, the U23 World Team Trials, the Wladyslaw Pytlasinski Cup in Poland and the Arvo Haavisto Cup in Finland. On the way to his Pytlasinski gold medal, he pinned 2016 Olympic champion and three-time World champion Artur Aleksanyan of Armenia.

In 2017, Schultz became the first U.S. Greco-Roman World champion at the Cadet level since 1997.
That summer, he also competed at the 2017 Junior World Championships, where he finished 15th. This year, he made big jumps in his wrestling, returning to the Junior World Championships and claiming a Junior bronze medal.
In addition to his Cadet and Junior World hardware, Schultz also boasts three other international medals, including one gold and two silvers.
Schultz will represent the U.S. at 130 kg/286 lbs. in Bucharest.
A two-time Junior World Team member, Randon Miranda heads to Romania as the 60 kg/132 lbs. representative for the U.S.
A student-athlete at Northern Michigan Olympic Training Site, Miranda has put together a solid year, winning the U23 Trials, making his first Senior National Team, claiming gold at the Bill Farrell International and finishing third at the U.S. Open.
Miranda will be joined by six other current and former NMU teammates, including two-time U23 World Team member Jesse Porter at 77 kg/170 lbs., 2015 Junior World Team member Travis Rice at 63 kg/139 lbs., Senior National Team member Dalton Duffield at 55 kg/121 lbs., two-time U.S. Open All-American Logan Kass at 72 kg/159 lbs., 2017 Malar Cup silver medalist Carter Nielsen at 82 kg/180 lbs. and 2017 Eduardo Campbell Cup bronze medalist George Sikes at 87 kg/191 lbs.
