Round of 16
- Zain Retherford (United States) falls in a 6-4 heartbreaker to past Asian and European medalist Adam Batirov (Bahrain). Retherford converted on the match winning takedown as time expired. After a video review, it was determined Batirov held off Retherford’s takedown until after the clock hit 6:00.
- 2017 European bronze medalist Zurabi Iakobishvili (Georgia) dec. 2013 World bronze medalist Bajrang Bajrang (India), 6-5.
- 2016 European bronze medalist Azamat Nurykau (Belarus) dec. two-time Military World champion Agahueseyin Mustafaev (Azerbaijan), 5-4.
- 2010 World silver medalist Alan Gogaev (Russia) dec. two-time Asian medalist Meisam Nasiri (Iran), 6-5.

- 2010 World silver medalist Alan Gogaev (Russia) dec. 2017 Asian silver medalist Seung-Chul Lee (Korea), 5-2.
- Zain Retherford (United States) opens with a 10-0 technical fall over 2017 European bronze medalist David Habat (Slovenia). Retherford picked up four takedowns, including one four-pointer, to clinch the win.

- 2015 World bronze medalist James Green (United States) dec. U23 European champion Zurabi Erbotsonashvili (Georgia), 3-2. Green scored off a shot clock point and two step outs. Erbotsonashvili snagged a single leg takedown in the second period, but Green was able to fend him off at the end.

- 2015 World bronze medalist James Green (United States) looks superb in an 8-0 victory over Nestor Taffur (Colombia).
- 2016 Olympic bronze medalist and 2015 World champion Frank Chamizo (Italy) takes out 2016 World bronze medalist Elaman Dogdurbek Uulu (Kyrgyzstan) by 12-0 technical fall.
- 2012 Olympic bronze medalist Akzurek Tanatarov (Kazakhstan) dec. two-time World bronze medalist Mandakhnaran Ganzorig (Mongolia), 8-3.
