Spenser Mango, fifth in the World Championships the last two years, held a No. 11 World ranking in Greco-Roman in June.

The new United World Wrestling men’s Greco-Roman rankings for June 2015 are now available.

There are four American men ranked among the top 20 Greco-Roman wrestlers in the world at their weight class.

The U.S. freestyle wrestlers did not compete in any international tournaments in May. They competed at the U.S. Open, the annual national championships in Las Vegas, with some also wrestling against Cuba in the Beat the Streets Gala event in Times Square in New York City. UWW does not consider national championships or exhibition events like Beat the Streets in its rankings.

The top ranked American at No. 6 is 2014 World Team member Joe Rau (Minneapolis, Minn./Minnesota Storm) at 80 kg/176 lbs. Rau, who had a successful winter tour season, but placed fourth in the U.S. Open in May, and did not qualify for the final U.S. Greco-Roman World Team Trials event. Rau moved up four spots from his No. 10 ranking last month.

The next highest ranked wrestler is two-time Olympic Spenser Mango (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army WCAP), who was No. 11 at 59 kg/130 lbs. Mango won his seventh U.S. Open title, then lost his match against Cuba at the Beat the Streets dual meet. He has been fifth in the World the last two years.

2014 World Team member Jordan Holm retained the No. 12 spot at 85 kg/185 lbs. Holm won his fourth U.S. Open title in May.

Two-time World Team member Robby Smith moved up one spot to No. 18 at 130 kg/286 lbs. Smith claimed his second U.S. Open title in May.

One U.S. athlete dropped out of the World rankings from last month, 2014 World bronze medalist Andy Bisek (Colorado Springs, Colo./Minnesota Storm) at 75 kg/165 lbs. Bisek had a No. 14 ranking last month. In May, Bisek won his second straight U.S. Open title, then won his match against Cuba in the Beat the Streets Gala event.

Mango, Holm, Smith and Bisek were among the eight wrestlers who earned spots on the U.S. Greco-Roman World Team with victories at the Greco-Roman World Team Trials on June 4.
