Jordan Oliver (Tempe, Ariz./Sunkist Kids) has been selected as TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for Nov. 9, 2015.

Oliver claimed the 65 kg/143 lbs. gold medal at the 2015 Bill Farrell International held at the New York Athletic Club in Manhattan on Saturday.

In the finals, Oliver topped four-time NCAA champion Logan Stieber, 8-5, courtesy of a four-point takedown in the final moments of the match.

Oliver defeated three tough opponents on his road to the finals. In the first round he defeated stout Russian Rustam Ampar 5-2. Oliver continued with a 5-2 win over Nazar Kulchytskyy in the quarterfinals and a 4-4 victory over Frank Molinaro in the semifinals.

The win in New York qualified Oliver for the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Iowa City, Iowa on April 9-10.

Oliver has finished in second place at the U.S. World Team Trials the past two years at 65 kg. He is a past Junior World bronze medalist and two-time NCAA champion for Oklahoma State.
