Kelsey Campbell named USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week

Kelsey Campbell (Tempe, Ariz./Sunkist Kids) has been named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week.
Each week, TheMat.com will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level.
Campbell captured a women’s freestyle title at the Guelph Open this past weekend in Guelph, Ontario, Canada.
Campbell, a 2012 Olympian and past U.S. World Team member, won the title at 58 kg/128 lbs.
Campbell won all three of her bouts, with an 8-3 win over Canadian Indira Moores in the finals. She earned an 8-1 win in the semifinals over World bronze medalist Justine Bouchard of Canada.
