Each week as appropriate, USA Wrestling will post the results from women’s college open tournaments from the weekend. Here is this week’s report, with three tournaments held all across the nation.

Dec. 2 – Battle at Rockies Open (at Providence)

Notes: NAIA No. 10 University of Providence, the host of the competition, had the most individual champions with five: Erin Hikiji (109), Ashley Gooman (116), Paige Respicio (136), Sadie Antoque (155) and Alexis Tupuola (191). NAIA No. 15 Eastern Oregon added a pair of champions, Kaylee Moore (130) and Olivia Robinson (170). The event also featured two strong Canadian teams. USports No. 1 Alberta had a champion with Taylor McPherson (123) and USports No. 3 Calgary added a champion, Miki Rowbottom (143).

Dec. 3 – Missouri Women’s State Championships (at St. Louis)

Notes: College programs in Missouri came together at Missouri Baptist for the first Missouri Women’s State Championships. NCAA No. 9 Lindenwood won the team title with four champions and 183.5 points. Lindenwood champions were McKenzie Gilreath (109), Amanda McAleavey (123), Jasmine Ward (130) and Alana Duggan (155). NAIA No. 14 Central Methodist was second with 154.5 points and three champions: Caitlyn Thorne (116), Skye Realin (136) and Jaycee Foeller (191). NAIA No. 18 Missouri Baptist was next with 151 points and two champions, Josette Partney (143) and Anastasia Hardin (170).

Notes: Seven different colleges had individual champions, plus one unattached champion, in this competitive Open Tournament. NAIA Doane, the host, plus NAIA No. 3 Grand View and NAIA Friends each had two champions. Doane champions were Karina Vang (101) and Cristelle Rodriguez (123).
