Registration has opened today for two of USA Wrestling’s most popular youth events, the USA Wrestling Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals and the Boys National High School Recruiting Showcase, both which are scheduled for Hyvee Hall in Des Moines, Iowa, October 28-30.


There is a Flash Sale from August 22 through September 1 for those who register right away, with the lowest price available for entry fees.

The USA Wrestling Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals is one of the most prestigious folkstyle events held each year. This event will have full period lengths for ALL divisions.


Divisions available include:

• 1st & 2nd grade Boys & 1st & 2nd grade Girls

• 3rd & 4th grade Boys & 3rd – 5th grade Girls

• Middle School Boys (5th & 6th grade) and (7th & 8th grade)

• Middle School Girls (5th & 6th grade) and (7th & 8th grade)

• High School Boys (9th & 10th grade)

• High School Boys (11th & 12th grade)

• High School Girls (9th-12th grade)


The Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals event has sold out in several divisions in 2021 and 2022, with 44 different states represented.

The Boys National High School Recruiting Showcase is a great opportunity to let the top high school athletes showcase their talent in front of college coaches, and win a prestigious national title. The National High School Recruiting Showcase will incorporate full-length periods.


Only athletes who meet qualification standards will be able to enter the Boys National High School Recruiting Showcase, which features elite wrestlers in 9th-12th grades. The qualification requirements for this event include:

• High School State Champions – any year

• 2022 High School State Placers

• National Prep Champions

• 2022 USA Wrestling National All-American Place 1st-8th: (Preseason Nationals, National High School Recruiting Showcase, Folkstyle Nationals, and the Junior and 16U Nationals)

• 2021/2022 UWW U15 and U17 National Placer

• NHSCA Virginia Beach Placer (9th –12th grade Divisions ONLY)


The National High School Recruiting Showcase event has previously been held in the spring. The decision was made to shift the boys event to the fall in order to help athletes accelerate their recruiting process.


In the spring of 2022, the Boys National Recruiting Showcase featured over 125 state high school champions, Prep School champions or NHSCA All-Americans, plus numerous 2022 state place winners. The 2021 National High School Recruiting Showcase included 110 boys state champions from 36 different states.


Throughout the 2021-22 membership system, USA Wrestling showed an increase of participation in several of high-level tournaments including Folkstyle Nationals, all Freestyle and Greco-Roman Regionals, and the Junior and 16U Nationals.
