Women’s wrestling titans named as honorary coaches for Captains’ Cup

The Captains’ Cup is set for Feb. 13-14 live on FloWrestling, and while some of the biggest current stars in women’s freestyle are competing, they’ll be led some of the most impactful pioneers the sport has seen.
Each coach was picked by the team captains as part of the Captains’ Cup draft last month.

• Former USA Wrestling Women’s Freestyle National Assistant Coach
• First female coach to receive gold certification from USA Wrestling’s National Coaches Education Program
Sara McMann – Team Winchester
• 2004 Olympic silver medalist
• Two-time World bronze medalist (2005, 2007)
• Seven-time World Team member
• UFC women’s bantamweight fighter
Kristie Davis – Team Burkert
• Nine-time World medalist
o Gold – 2000, 2003

• Head coach at Emmanuel College
• 2018 National Wrestling Hall of Fame inductee as Distinguished Member
