Bruntil among four U.S. women entered in 2026 Klippan Lady Open

KLIPPAN, Sweden – Four U.S. women are entered in the 2026 Klippan Lady Open, being held at the Klippan Hall of Sports February 13-15. 2023 U.S. World Team member Emma Bruntil anchors the U.S. lineup.
Bruntil is making her first international appearance since the 2023 Worlds in Belgrade, Serbia, where she finished in fifth place at 68 kg. She returns to action this weekend at 65 kg.
2022 U.S. National Team member Lauren Stoker is entered at 59 kg and is seeking her first international podium in her fifth attempt. Stoker is a five-time placer at the U.S. Senior Nationals.
Also in the mix are youngsters Avery Steldt of Wisconsin at 55 kg and Chandni Banks of California at 68 kg. Steldt makes a repeat appearance at the event after competing in the Senior division last year. It’ll be the international debut for Banks, who was fifth at the 2025 U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals held in Fargo, N.D.
All four Americans are entered in the Senior division of the event, which is set for Saturday and Sunday. A U17 division will be contested prior to the Senior division, starting on Friday evening. A complete schedule is available below.
