TIRANA, Albania – Team USA’s 13-woman freestyle squad learned their opening round draws for the Muhamet Malo Ranking Series at Tirana’s Feti Borova Olympic Park.
2025 World Team members, Adaugo Nwachukwu and Macey Kilty, spearhead the U.S. into the United World Wrestling’s second Ranking Series event of the year. Both are set to compete in the 62 kg bracket and are on opposite sides of the draw.
Nwachukwu opens her tournament against 2025 U20 World champion Anjli of India, who earned bronze at the Zagreb Open. Kilty’s first match comes against age-group World medalist Amina Capezan of Romania.
Past World Team members Jennifer Page, Abigail Nette, Emma Bruntil and Dymond Guilford are also set to represent the U.S. this week.
At 65 kg, Bruntil and Page are on the same side of the draw with a potential semifinal matchup. In the quarterfinals, Bruntil faces two-time Olympian Kriszta Inze of Romania. Page’s quarterfinal matchup is against Kazakhstan’s Aizhan Suiduova. 2025 U23 Pan American champion Nina Makem is also in the field at 65 kg for Team USA and faces India’s Apeksha Patil.
Nette is joined by Michaela Beck at 59 kg. Nette has a rematch from the Zagreb Open in the quarterfinals, where she will face Hungary’s Erika Bognar. In Croatia earlier this month, Nette earned a 2-1 decision over the age-group World medalist Bognar. Beck will face the winner of Türkiye’s Bediha Gun or 2024 World bronze medalist Elena Brugger of Germany.
Guilford is the lone member of the U.S. in the 76 kg division, where she opens competition against 2024 Olympian and 2025 World champion Genesis Reasco Valdez of Ecuador.
Coming off a bronze medal at the Zagreb Open, Amanda Martinez starts action at 57 kg against two-time Olympian Luisa Valverde Melendres of Ecuador.
