NEW YORK – The U.S. earned three gold medals in women’s freestyle at the 2025 Bill Farrell Memorial International, with U20 World Team member Aubre Krazer reeling in the Outstanding Wrestler award with a dynamite effort on Friday at the New York Athletic Club.

Krazer, who is a freshman at Lehigh University, stood atop the 59 kg weight class with three gritty wins on the day. She opened with a 9-7 decision over two-time age-group World Team member Brenda Reyna, then edged 2025 Senior World bronze medalist Altjin Togtokh of Mongolia in the final moments of the semifinals, 4-3. Krazer pulled away from 2022 Bill Farrell champion Michaela Beck in the championship match, taking a 12-6 win.

The 19-year-old from Easton, Pennsylvania, has been on the rise in 2025. She finished in fifth place at the U20 Worlds in Samokov, Bulgaria, her first age-group Worlds appearance. She also won a gold medal at the Grand Prix of Spain in the Senior division.

Other American champions included three-time age-group World champion Emily Shilson at 50 kg and reigning U20 World champion Everest Leydecker at 53 kg. Shilson notched four wins in a round robin bracket, her statement win coming 11-0 over 2024 U23 World champion Sage Mortimer in round one. Leydecker scored three 10-0 technical falls on her way to gold. Namuuntsetseg Tsogt Ochir of Mongolia, who was fifth at the Paris Olympics, was Leydecker’s finals opponent.

Eight American women wound up with silver medals, while six bagged bronze medals. Final weight class placements and medal match results are listed below.

Of the 10 weight classes, eight were contested in traditional straight-line brackets with a double elimination format (53 kg, 55 kg, 57 kg, 59 kg, 62 kg, 65 kg and 72 kg). The remaining two weights had five or fewer entrants, pushing the participants into a round robin bracket (50 kg and 76 kg).

The tournament continues on Saturday at 10 a.m. (ET) with the men’s freestyle competition in all 10 international weight classes. Medal matches are scheduled for 4 p.m. (ET).
