In the overall team race for the 2025 U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals, Pennsylvania stretched its big lead over the field after four of the six tournaments (16U Girls, Junior Girls, 16U Boys Freestyle, Junior Boys Freestyle). In fact, Pennsylvania has won the team title in all four tournaments held, sitting with a combined 816 points.

California is in second place with 485 points. Ohio is third with 330 points. Iowa stands in fourth place with 325 points. Illinois rounds out the top five with 306 points.

Pennsylvania becomes only the second state to win four tournaments during the week-long U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals, joining Illinois with this prestigious honor. Pennsylvania can set a new standard if it is able to win one of the two remaining tournaments, the 16U Greco-Roman or the Junior Greco-Roman.

It is hard to expect that any team can make up the 331-point lead that Pennsylvania enjoys over California in the team race in those last two tournaments.

In Junior boys freestyle, Pennsylvania had four individual champions, Nathan Schuman (100), Beau Bassett (144) Melvin Miller (165) and Nicholas Singer (175), among 14 All-Americans, scoring 221 points. California was in second with 160 points, Illinois placed third with 134 points, Wisconsin was fifth with 75 points and Georgia was fifth with 72 points.

In 16U boys freestyle, Pennsylvania was led by four individual champions, Leo Murillo (88), Kooper Deputy (100), Jayden O'Farril (175) and Mario Hutcherson (190) and 21 All-Americans. Ohio was second with 135 points, Iowa was third with 121 points, California was fourth with 120 points and Indiana was fifth with 105 points.

The top five in Junior Girls were Pennsylvania, Michigan, California, Missouri and Ohio.

The top five in 16U Girls were Pennsylvania, Texas, Oklahoma, California and New Jersey.

Last year, Pennsylvania was the overall team champion at the 2024 U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals, followed by California, Illinois, Iowa and Ohio.
