by Gary Abbott, USA Wrestling
They are two of the greatest Greco-Roman wrestlers in American history. They were teammates on the 1996 U.S. Olympic Team, where both won Olympic silver medals for Team USA. They are both in the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. Both won World medals, Hall with a gold, silver and bronze and Paulson with a silver. They are also good friends.
In the 55 kg finals of the 2004 U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Indianapolis, only one of them could win and make the U.S. Olympic Team heading to Athens, Greece. Witness one of the longest matches in history and one of the most intense, compelling and spectacular bouts you will ever see.
