USA Wrestling is happy to announce that it has finalized plans for a Virtual Development Camp and registration is open.
This Virtual Development Camp will replace the postponed July Olympic 2024 Development Camp that USA Wrestling was scheduled to host at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center before the outbreak of COVID-19.
This virtual camp will give athletes the opportunity to improve existing and learn new wrestling technique from an elite level coaching staff. Athletes will be receiving instruction from the USA Wrestling National Team Staff and various guest coaches and clinicians from around the country will be in attendance.
Guided by the USA Wrestling Athlete Development Model, this camp focuses on developing skills across all three styles of wrestling, Folkstyle, Freestyle and Greco-Roman.
This camp will be held from July 27-30 via Zoom Webinar. Every athlete/family who registers will receive Zoom links for the daily sessions. These daily sessions will include one morning “wake up” call, two on-the-mat sessions, and one daily classroom lesson. Sessions will also include break-out groups for additional instruction and discussion.
This camp will target the age groups of USA Juniors, U16 and U14, male and female athletes are eligible to register. Cost for this camp will be $95 (families will only pay one registration fee).
To register for this camp, please sign into your USA Wrestling membership profile at www.usawmembership.com. From the home page, you will click ‘USAW Events’ and then ‘Camp Registration.’
Registration will remain open until the camp is at capacity.
A list of instructors and the complete schedule will be released shortly.
