The Wisconsin Regional Training Center will be adding another full-time female resident athlete to their roster! Erin Golston, will be moving to Madison to train with the Wisconsin RTC.
Golston, who competes in Women’s Freestyle at 50KG, will be leaving the Olympic Training Center to become a member of the Wisconsin RTC.
“I’m super excited to be joining the Wisconsin RTC. Moving is a big step but I believe this is the best step for my training and future goals,” said Golston.
Over the past couple months, Erin has made several trips to Madison to train. She also competed on the Underground 2 card in December.
“Erin instantly made a great connection with the staff and the other wrestlers. She came in and clicked with Ronna Heaton and the two of them have shown that they both believe in what we are doing and are excited about learning and improving every day,” said WRTC coach Chris Bono, who is also head coach at the University of Wisconsin.
Golston said, “I am excited to grow with all of the coaches as well as with Ronna. I am excited for the future!”
Looking at the future, it will not take long for Erin to jump into competition after joining the Wisconsin RTC. She will be wrestling on January 9th in Austin, Texas, where she will also be joined on the FloWrestling card by Evan Wick.
