Pennsylvania RTC resident athlete David McFadden and Iowa redshirt sophomore Nelson Brands battled it out for a title in the 2020 U23 Nationals 79 kg finals. McFadden, a four-time All-American at Virginia Tech and 2018 U23 World Team member, picked up three technical falls in four matches, outscoring his opponents 39-1 en route to the finals.

Brands, a 2019 UWW Junior Nationals third-place finisher, downed 2019 U23 World Team member Muhamed McBryde, 4-1, in the semifinals to punch to his ticket to the finals.
