Match of the Day: Terry Brands takes gold at the 1995 World Championships

Terry Brands won his second World title in 1995, defeating Gia Sissaouri of Canada in the finals. At the time, Sissaouri was just breaking onto the international scene but would go on to have an incredibly successful career, earning a World gold medal in 2001 and taking bronze in 1997 and 1998. Sissaouri was a three-time Olympian and took silver at the 1996 Olympic Games.
Brands won his first World title in 1993 and would earn bronze at the 2000 Olympic Games. He currently is the Associate Head Coach at his alma mater the University of Iowa, where he was a three-time All-American and two-time NCAA champion.
