The Northern Michigan University – Olympic Training Site has announced the matchups for the dual meet between NMU-OTS and the All-Navy team, which will be held on Wednesday, February 13 in Marquette, Mich.

The event will take place on-campus at 7 p.m. in room 150 of the PEIF building. The dual meet is free and open to the public.

There will be a live video broadcast of this dual meet, which fans can access at:

Although the NMU-OTS team concentrates on Olympic Greco-Roman wrestling, the dual meet will also include freestyle wrestling. The All-Navy team is in Marquette for joint training with the NMU-OTS team from January 26 – February 22 in preparation for the Armed Forces Championships, where they will wrestle in both styles.

The Greco-Roman portion of the dual meet will feature NMU-OTS stars Randon Miranda at 55 kg and Sammy Jones at 63 kg, both who won gold medals at the recent Dave Schultz Memorial International.

Competing for the All-Navy Team are Bobby Raines at 55 kg and Austin Craig at 82 kg, both who competed at the 2018 Armed Forces Championships in Greco-Roman.

Some of the NMU-OTS stars who will participate in freestyle are Dalton Duffield at 57 kg, Jesse Porter at 74 kg and Khymba Johnson at 97 kg.

On the All-Navy Team in the freestyle portion of the dual is 2018 Armed Forces Championships silver medalist Blake Borges at 74 kg, who has competed in the last four Armed Forces Championships.

The All-Navy team is comprised of active-duty sailors in both the Navy and Coast Guard. The All-Navy Sports program allows sailors to serve as goodwill ambassadors while also carrying out their military service.

NMU-OTS head wrestling coach Rob Hermann is no stranger to the U.S. Navy. He served in that branch of the military from 1976-1998 and he was the All-Navy wrestling coach from 1983–2010.
