#GrecoMonday: Speaking with Chandler Rogers at the USOPTC
by Mike Willis, USA Wrestling
Chandler Rogers, who was named the Director of Operations for the Air Force Academy wrestling team in August, is currently training Greco-Roman at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center.
Rogers, a two-time All-American for Oklahoma State at 165 pounds, will be competing for a spot on the Olympic Team at 87 kg (191.8 pounds). In 2019, Rogers placed third at the U.S. Open and finished runner-up at U23 World Team Trials, both at 82 kg. He also took home a Pan American Championship at 79 kg in men’s freestyle.
Rogers recently clinched a spot at the Olympic Team Trials, with a bronze medal performance at the Bill Farrell Memorial International, making him the only eligible American medalist in the weight class.

Despite already having secured his spot for the Trials, Rogers will compete at Senior Nationals this weekend in Fort Worth, Texas. Check out the interview with Rogers at the USOPTC for more details on his transition to Greco-Roman and moving to Colorado.
