#WomensWednesday: How to find the college women's wrestling rankings

Any wrestling fan knows that there a dozens of ranking available in men's college wrestling. There are numerous wrestling media who do rankings in NCAA Div. I wrestling, as well as rankings being done for NCAA Div. II, NCAA Div. III, NAIA and NJCAA programs. It would take a ton of time to read every single men's college ranking that is regularly published.


In women's college wrestling, the ranking situation is different. The women wrestlers are ranked by either specific organizations, or a new women's wrestling outlet.


The women's season has been going for over two months already, and we want to update everybody on what the rankings indicate at this time.

WCWA


The WCWA, which includes college programs from all divisions, posts rankings of teams and individuals, has done rankings over the years. This year, a season in which not all of the women's college teams have committed to competing at the WCWAs, there has been rankings published by the organization.

NAIA


The NAIA ranks its women's wrestlers in two ways, with a national coaches poll for individuals and teams, as well as polls within four conferences.


The last NAIA National poll was posted November 27, but will change tomorrow, with the posting of Poll No. 2 on Thursday, December 12. We list the most recent polls below.

NCAA programs


Currently, as women's wrestling goes through the process of seeking Emerging Sports Status, there is no official ranking provided by the NCAA, nor the schools involved.


A new women's wrestling website, AmericanWomen'sWrestling.com, is doing rankings for the teams at NCAA instititions. These are being posted monthly.
