CHAPEL HILL, N.C.- Two-time NCAA champion and multiple-time national team member Jordan Oliver will join the Tar Heel Wrestling Club as a resident athlete, the club announced on Friday.
Oliver, a former standout at Oklahoma State, joins the THWC after training with the NYRTC. He has been competing on the national level since wrapping up his career in Stillwater in 2013.
“I’m very excited to be here. This is going to be a chance for me to continue my training and be where I want to be,” Oliver said. “Working with some great wrestling minds in Chapel Hill is exactly what I feel like I need to be ready to accomplish some big goals. It’s time to get to work and get the job done in Carolina Blue.”
Oliver plans to train in Chapel Hill beginning immediately, working with Kenny Monday, Coleman Scott, Tony Ramos, and Bryce Hasseman ahead of the 2020 Olympic cycle.
