Bullock, Glaude and Parrish to wrestle for U23 World bronze on Thursday

BUCHAREST, Romania – U.S. women’s freestylers Dominique Parrish and Alexandria Glaude advanced to the bronze-medal matches on Thursday at the U23 World Championships in Bucharest, Romania.
At 55 kg, Parrish put up a dominant 11-0 win over Chelsey Sicard of Canada, which included four takedowns and was finished off with a leg lace. The win propelled Parrish in the bronze bout, where she will face Elena Brugger of Germany, who is a 2016 Junior World bronze medalist and a 2014 Cadet World bronze medalist.
Glaude pinned her way through repechage to earn a chance to wrestle for bronze at 68 kg. In her only match of the morning session, Glaude breezed past 2012 Cadet World runner-up Natalia Strzalka of Poland with a fall in 56 seconds. For a medal, Glaude will face Khishigmaa Munkhbat of Mongolia.
Last night, Kori Bullock was pulled back into the tournament at 76 kg, a small bracket, and did not have to wrestle a repechage match this morning. Bullock will compete in tonight’s bronze-medal match against 2017 U23 World silver medalist Gracelynn Doogan of Canada.
Both Glaude and Bullock represent McKendree University, and Parrish represents Simon Fraser University.
Medal matches will take place Thursday at 6 p.m. local time (11 a.m. ET) live on Trackwrestling.com.
