Pfau, Parrish, Glaude, Bullock and Nette receive draws for 2018 U23 World Championships

BUCHAREST, Romania – The first five U.S. women’s freestylers have received their draws for the 2018 U23 World Championships in Bucharest, Romania, and are set to wrestle on Wednesday.
Competing for the USA is Cody Pfau at 50 kg, Dominique Parrish at 55 kg, Abigail Nette at 59 kg, Alexandria Glaude at 68 kg and Korinahe Bullock at 76 kg.
Returning to the U23 World Championships, two-time U.S. National Team member Cody Pfau received a first-round bye at 50 kg and will face the winner of Dominika Szynkowska of Poland and Bianka Reczi of Hungary.
Szynkowska was 13th at the 2016 Junior Worlds and claimed silver at the 2016 Flatz Open, while Reczi owns bronzes from the 2017 and 2018 Flatz Open and is a 2017 Junior European bronze medalist.
Also back on the U23 World stage for the second time is Parrish, also a Senior National Team member, who will take on 2018 Junior World champion and 2015 Cadet World silver medalist Saki Igarashi of Japan in the first round at 55 kg.
2017 Junior World Team member and 2018 National Teamer Alex Glaude drew Alla Belinska of Ukraine to open her tournament at 68 kg. Belinska is a 2017 Military World champion as well as a 2018 Yasar Dogu champion. In 2015, the Ukrainian won a Junior World bronze medal.
Final X runner-up Korinahe Bullock will make her international debut tomorrow, taking on Zagardulum Naigalsuren from Mongolia, who was 14th at 2018 Ivan Yarygin International.
A 2018 WCWA All-American, Nette will represent the U.S. at 59 kg, where she will go head-to-head against 2018 Russia Nationals runner-up Zelfira Sadraddinova of Russia in her first match.
