Hancock, Miranda, Kass, Nielsen and Baker receive draws for 2018 U23 World Championships

BUCHAREST, Romania – The final five U.S. Greco-Roman athletes received their draws for the 2018 U23 World Championships in Bucharest, Romania.
Representing the USA on Tuesday is Randon Miranda at 60 kg, Nolan Baker at 67 kg, Logan Kass at 72 kg, Carter Nielsen at 82 kg and G’Angelo Hancock at 97 kg.
Shortly after making his second-consecutive trip to the Senior World Championships, Hancock is back on the mat, competing at U23 Worlds. To begin his tournament at 97 kg, Hancock will take on 2017 Junior World champion and 2014 Cadet World bronze winner Vladlen Kozliuk of Ukraine.
Miranda, a 2018 Senior National Team member and two-time Junior World Team member, drew 2017 World Military bronze medalist and 2017 U23 European bronze medalist Justas Petravicius of Lithuania in his first bout at 60 kg.
Two-time U.S. Open All-American Logan Kass will Nikita Masjuks of Latvia at 72 kg. Masjuks, a 2011 Cadet Nordic silver medalist, competed at the Senior World Championships in Budapest, Hungary, two weeks ago, where he finished 24th.
2017 Malar Cup silver medalist Nielsen will open his 82 kg bracket against Nicu Ojog of Romania, who won bronze at the 2015 Cadet World Championships and claimed a Junior European Championships silver earlier this summer.
At 67 kg, Baker, a Division I athlete for Northern Illinois, will face off against 2012 Cadet World champion and 2011 Cadet World bronze medalist Karim Jafarov of Azerbaijan to start his tournament.
