With the NCAA Div. I Wrestling Championships going hot and heavy in Cleveland, wrestling fans are also looking forward to seeing many past college wrestling stars competing in Final X events in June.
Final X is a three-event series which will determine the 2018 U.S. Senior World Teams in men’s and women’s freestyle wrestling, featuring the nation’s best Olympic-caliber athletes in these disciplines. Only two athletes in each weight class earn the right to be included in Final X this year.
A partnership between USA Wrestling and FloWrestling, Final X will be held in Lincoln, Neb. on June 9, State College, Pa. on June 16 and Bethlehem, Pa. on June 23.
As part of the Final X procedures, any athlete in men’s and women’s freestyle who earned a 2017 World medal can advance directly to Final X if they compete in the same weight class (for men) or a specified weight class (for women).

This group of athletes has won a combined six NCAA titles and seven WCWA national college titles.
This list will be updated as more athletes earn the right to be in Final X.
There could be one other 2017 World medalist who would advance to Final X if he stays in his 2017 weight class, World bronze medalist J’den Cox, who won his medal at 86 kg. Cox attended Missouri, where he was a three-time NCAA champion. However, Cox has been competing at 92 kg and is expected to be at this weight class.
Athletes have not had to officially announce their weight class intentions, but must do so prior to the beginning of the qualification process, which begins with the 2018 U.S. Open in Las Vegas in April.
All events will be broadcast live and on-demand exclusively on FloWrestling.com, and on the FloSports apps on iOS, Roku, and Apple TV 4.
