Greco and women's freestyle wrap up day one of Junior Duals in Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. – The preliminary pools concluded at the end of day one of the 2018 Junior Duals in Greco-Roman and women’s freestyle, which were held at the Cox Business Center in Tulsa, Okla., on Wednesday.
On the women’s side, the top-four teams from pools A and B were drawn into the Gold/Silver pool.
From Pool A:
- Texas 1 (5-0 record)
- Kansas (4-1)
- Illinois (3-2)
- Alaska (2-3)
From Pool B:
- Florida (5-0 record)
- Wisconsin (4-1)
- Texas 2 (3-2)
- Georgia (2-3)
On the Greco-Roman side, the top-two teams from four different pools were drawn into the Gold/Silver pool, and the first round was wrestled Wednesday evening.
Victorious in the first round of the Gold/Silver action was Illinois, Washington, Iowa and Oklahoma 1.
- Illinois over Nebraska 1, 49-15
- Washington over Minnesota 1, 35-32
- Iowa over California, 54-14
- Oklahoma 1 over Ohio 1, 40-27
