U.S. men and women’s freestyle team to compete at Outstanding Ukrainian in Kiev, Ukraine, Feb. 23-25.

The United States will be sending a team of men and women freestylers to the XXII Outstanding Ukrainian Wrestlers and Coaches Memorial in Kiev, Ukraine, February 23-25.
The three-day long event will consist of a U.S. delegation made up of 24 men and 10 women.
Leading the men’s team is bronze medalist J’Den Cox (Columbia, Mo. / Titan Mercury WC.) The two-time World team member was a 2017 World bronze medalist and a three-time NCAA champion for Missouri.
Heavyweight Dom Bradley (Lincoln, Neb. / Sunkist Kids) will also represent the United States in Ukraine. Bradley was a 2009 Junior World champion and a two-time Pan American champion (2016 and 2017).
Wrestling at 79 kg/174 lbs. is three-time NCAA champion and Dan Hodge Trophy winner Alex Dieringer (Stillwater, Okla. / Titan Mercury WC). Dieringer was also a Junior World silver medalist.

National Team members Kyven Gadson (Waterloo, Iowa / Sunkist Kids) and BJ Futrell (Philadelphia, Pa. / Titan Mercury WC/Pennsylvania RTC) will compete at the Outstanding Ukrainian, with Gadson at 97 kg/213.8 lbs. and Futrell at 65 kg/143.3 lbs.

Other past NCAA champions on the tour include Nahshon Garrett (Cornell), Nicholas Megaludis (Penn State) and three-time NCAA champion Nazar Kulchytskyy (Wisconsin).

In women’s freestyle, 2016 World Team member Sarah Hildebrandt will be competing at 53 kg/116.8 lbs. Hildebrandt was a two-time Pan American Champion and a silver medalist at the respected 2017 Ivan Yarygin.

2017 World Team member and 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials runner-up Victoria Francis (Litchfield, Ill. /Titan Mercury) will be competing at 72 kg/158.7 lbs. Francis was a 2014 Junior World bronze medalist.

Maya Nelson (Denver, Colo. /Sunkist Kids) will wrestle at 63 kg/138.75 lbs. Nelson was a 2017 Junior World Champion and a 2017 U23 World Team member.
Wrestling at 50 kg/110 lbs. is three-time Junior World medalist Erin Golston (Colorado Springs, Colo. /NYAC).

2017 U23 World Team members Amy Fearnside (Jamestown, N.D. / Titan Mercury WC) and Dominique Parrish (Scotts Valley, Calif. / Burnaby Mountain WC) will both be competing for the USA in Ukraine with Fearnside at 50 kg/110.2 lbs. and Parrish at 55 kg/121.2 lbs.

Competing at 55 kg/121 lbs. is Ronna Heaton (Brookings, S.D. / Sunkist Kids) a UWW Cadet World gold medalist in 2015, and a Cadet World silver medalist in 2016. Heaton also came in second place at the 2017 U23 Team Trials.

Additional Senior Women’s freestyle team members to compete at Outstanding Ukrainian are Jacarra Winchester (Colorado Springs, Colo. / Titan Mercury WC) at 55 kg/121 lbs., Lauren Louive at 59 kg/130.0 lbs. (Iowa City, Iowa / Hawkeye WC) and Michaela Beck (New York, N.Y.) at 57 kg.

The tournament will have a Greco-Roman division but the U.S. will not be entering a delegation.
