Friday’s Women’s World Cup pairings set, as USA to face Russia, Sweden then Japan in order in Group A

United World Wrestling has released the order of dual meets for first day of the 2017 Women’s World Cup in Cheboksary, Russia on Friday, December 1.
The United States will compete in Group A. Team USA will face host Russia in its first bout, set at 11:00 a.m. local time (3:00 a.m. U.S. Eastern time).
The second USA match will be against Sweden, set for 1:30 p.m. local time (5:30 a.m. U.S. Eastern time).
The final Group A match will pit the top two teams from the 2017 World Championships, Japan vs. the United States at 5:30 p.m. local time (9:30 a.m. U.S. Eastern time).
Pairings for Group B dual meets were also scheduled (see below).
The results from the pool competition on Friday will determine the pairings for Saturday’s medal match dual meets.
The United States has entered an experienced team to Russia for the Women’s World Cup, with eight past World or Olympic team members on the roster, led by three-time World champion and five-time World medalist Adeline Gray at 75 kg and two-time World silver medalist Alli Ragan at 60 kg.
