Miranda, Porter advance to the finals at the UWW Junior Greco-Roman World Team Trials in Las Vegas

Returning UWW Junior Greco-Roman Trials champion Randon Miranda of the New York Athletic Club is looking to make his second World Team at 55 kg in this afternoon's final match up against Gabriel Townsell of the California RTC.
Jesse Porter of the New York Athletic Club is looking to make a comeback in this years final bout at 74 kg after falling to Kamal Bey (Front Range Twisters) in the best of three series, 2-1.
The champions at 60 kg, 74 kg, and 96 kg will not be guaranteed a spot on the World Team. Taylor LaMont (60), Kamal Bey (74), and G’Angelo Hancock (96kg) will compete in a delayed wrestle off against the champion of those weight classes later in the year.
LaMont is a 2016 Junior World medalist, Bey is the 2017 Senior U.S. Open champion, and Hancock is a 2016 Junior World medalist and 2017 Senior U.S. Open champion. The three wrestlers meet criteria for a delayed wrestle off. They will be competing in tomorrow’s Senior Greco-Roman World Team Trials.
UWW Junior Greco-Roman World Team Trial finals are a best of three series. Finals will begin at 3 p.m. (PT). and will be streamed live on FloWrestling.org.
