U.S. stars Bisek, Thielke, Martinez appear in UWW Greco-Roman World rankings for September

Three U.S. Greco-Roman wrestlers appeared in the UWW Greco-Roman World rankings for September 2016, the first ranking since the conclusion of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The top American in the Greco-Roman rankings is 2016 Olympian Andrew Bisek (Colorado Springs, Colo./Minnesota Storm/OTC), who was No. 13 at 75 kg/165 lbs. Bisek placed 12th at the 2016 Olympic Games, and was a World bronze medalist in 2014 and 2015.
2016 Olympian Jesse Thielke (Germantown, Wis./New York AC/OTC), who placed ninth at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, was awarded the No. 15 ranking at 59 kg/130 lbs. by United World Wrestling.
2015 World Team member Patrick Martinez (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army/WCAP) retained his No. 17 World ranking at 80 kg/176 lbs., a non-Olympic weight class.
There will be a non-Olympic weights World Championships in Budapest, Hungary, Dec. 10-11.
The other two U.S. Olympians, Ben Provisor (Colorado Springs, Colo./New York AC/OTC) at 85 kg/187.5 lbs. and Robby Smith (Colorado Springs, Colo./New York AC/OTC) at 130 kg/286 lbs. are not ranked in the top 20. Both placed 12th in their weight classes at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janiero, Brazil. Smith was fifth at the 2013 and 2015 World Championships, and Provisor is a two-time Olympian.
