Five U.S. Greco-Roman stars get draws for Hungarian Grand Prix

2014 World bronze medalist Andy Bisek is among five Americans competing in Hungary on Saturday.


SZOMBATHELY, Hungary – Five top U.S. Greco-Roman wrestlers have weighed in and received their draws at the Hungarian Grand Prix, one of the toughest Greco-Roman events in the world each year.


Four of the five athletes competing on Saturday were members of the 2014 U.S. World Team.


2014 World bronze medalist Andy Bisek (Colorado Springs, Colo./Minnesota Storm) will open at 75 kg/165 lbs. against Jure Kuhar of Slovenia, who was third in 2014 World University Championships. There are 37 athletes in his weight class.


The other 2014 World Team members competing on Saturday are Bryce Saddoris, (Camp LeJeune, N.C./U.S. Marines) at 66 kg/145.5 lbs., Jordan Holm (Minneapolis, Minn./Minnesota Storm) at 85 kg/185 lbs. and Robby Smith (Colorado Springs, Colo./New York AC) at 130 kg/286 lbs.


Saddoris opens against Matous Morbitzer of Czech Republic, a two-time World team member. There are 42 athletes in his weight class.


Holm has drawn two-time Asian Games bronze medalist Zhanabarek Kenzheev of Kyrgyzstan. This weight has 31 entries.


Smith has drawn 2008 Olympic bronze medalist Mindaugas Mizgaitis of Lithuania, in a weight featuring 18 athletes. Another American is also competing at 130 kg/286 lbs., Jarod Trice (Ames, Iowa/Titan Mercury WC)
