U.S. Greco-Roman World Team Trials to air on Universal Sports Network TONIGHT June 23 at 7 pm ET

USA Wrestling and the Universal Sports Network will partner to broadcast the U.S. Greco-Roman World Team TONIGHT on Monday, June 23, starting at 7:00 p.m. ET
It will be a one-hour show, with championship finals series coverage of the six Olympic weight classes in Greco-Roman. The World Team Trials is the qualifying event for the U.S. team which will compete at the 2014 World Wrestling Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in September.
The broadcast crew for the World Team Trials coverage will include play-by-play announcer Van Stokes, respected color commentators Nick Garone and Jason Bryant, along with sideline reporter Shane Sparks. National Greco-Roman Coach Matt Lindland also appeared on the broadcast as a guest commentator.
The U.S. World Team Trials was held at the Ocean Center Exhibit Hall in Daytona Beach, Fla., June 13.
The championship finals was a best-of-three series. Among the athletes on the finals broadcast are Olympian Spenser Mango at 59 kg and Robbie Smith at 130 kg, both who plast fifth in the 2013 World Championships. Other 2013 World Team members who are part of the finals broadcast are Andy Bisek at 75 kg, Jordan Holm at 85 kg and Caylor Williams at 98 kg. Also on the broadcast is 2012 Freestyle Olympian Sam Hazewinkel, who returned to Greco-Roman for this event.
This is part of a series of wrestling broadcasts on Universal Sports Network, which is partnering on USA Wrestling’s first multi-event national television deal.
Three major USA Wrestling events have already been aired on University Sports Network, the Freestyle World Cup, held in Los Angeles in March, the Senior Open in Las Vegas in April and the U.S. Freestyle World Team Trials in Madison, Wis. earlier this month. For the first time, the ASICS/Las Vegas Senior Wrestling Open were broadcast LIVE on primetime national television for both the semifinal and finals rounds.
Universal Sports Network is now available on Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, Verizon FiOS, satellite providers DIRECTV and DISH and numerous regional cable and IPTV operators in markets across the country.
