Mongolia team lineup set for Freestyle World Cup in Los Angeles, Calif., March 15-16

The wrestling federation of Mongolia has provided its lineup for the 2014 Freestyle Wrestling World Cup, which will be held at the Forum, presented by Chase, March 15-16 in Inglewood, Calif.
The World Cup is the annual international dual meet championships, and will feature the top 10 men’s freestyle wrestling teams in the world.
The Mongolian team will be led by 2013 World bronze medalist Ganzorig Mandakhnaran at 65 kg/143 lbs., who was also a bronze medalist at the 2013 World University Games.
Talented Buyanjav Batzorig, who is competing at 70 kg/154 lbs., was eighth in 2008 Olympic Games. He also placed in the World Championships three times, fifth in 2010, seventh in 2005 and eighth in 2007.
Another veteran, Jargalsaikhan Chuluunbat at 125 kg/275 lbs., was fifth in the 2011 World Championships and seventh in 2012 Olympic Games.
Other athletes on the Mongolian roster who have placed in the top 10 at the World Championships include:
• Enkhsaikhan Nyam-Ochir at 61 kg/134 lbs., fifth in 2013 World Championships
• Orgodol Uitumen at 86 kg/189 lbs., eighth in 2013 World Championships
• Erdenebat Bekhbayar at 57 kg/125 lbs., 10th in 2013 World Championships
• Purevjav Unurbat at 86 kg/189 lbs., 10th in 2009 World Championships
Junior World medalists on the Mongolia team include Urnubat, who was third in the 2008 Junior World Championships and 2013 Junior World silver medalist Batbold Nomin at 57 kg/125.5 lbs.
Mongolia placed seventh at the 2013 World Championships, which were held in Budapest, Hungary.
The 10 nations which will compete for the World Cup are (alphabetically): Armenia, Georgia, India, Iran, Japan, Mongolia, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and the United States. Nations were invited based upon final team standings at the 2013 World Championships.
