Top American athletes, including World and Olympic medalists along with many rising young stars, will be in competition overseas this weekend, as U.S. athletes hit the mats in Turkey and Cuba.
The Yasar Dogu International, set for Istanbul, Turkey on Saturday and Sunday, will feature a large group of U.S. men’s freestyle stars.
The Turkish Wrestling Federation has indicated that it will webcast the Yasar Dogo on its website:

Olympic champions Jordan Burroughs (74 kg) and Jake Varner (97 kg) will compete in Turkey on Saturday, along with 2013 World Team member Angel Escobedo (57 kg). There are nine U.S. freestylers on the mat Saturday.
Sunday, another five U.S. wrestlers will compete, including past Junior World champion Dom Bradley (125 kg).

Freestyle wrestling is underway in Havana, Cuba, at the Cerro Pelado International. Another large U.S. men’s freestyle team will hit the mats on Friday and Saturday.
On Friday, four-time NCAA champion Kyle Dake (74 kg) will compete, along with 2013 U.S. Open champion Kellen Russell (65 kg). Two U.S. age-group World champions will wrestle in the Junior division on Friday, 2013 Junior World champion Kyle Snyder and 2013 Cadet World champion Aaron Pico.
Saturday’s action will feature 2012 Olympic bronze medalist Coleman Scott (61 kg), past NCAA champions Jon Reader (86 kg) and Zach Rey (125 kg), among others.
On Thursday, the USA won three gold medals in women’s wrestling, from Victoria Anthony (48 kg), Helen Maroulis (55 kg) and Elena Pirozhkova (67 kg). The Granma Cup of Greco-Roman has completed, and U.S. results will be posted when received.
