Services for Greco-Roman wrestler Brad Ahearn, 33, who passed away on Friday, have been set for this weekend in his hometown of Orange Park, Fla.
According to his Facebook page, the funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church on Saturday, December 20, with a 10:00 a.m. viewing and an 11:00 a.m. service. There will be no graveside ceremony.

Ahearn competed on the national level in Greco-Roman for many years. He was a 2008 and 2009 U.S. Open champion in Greco-Roman, winning the 2008 title at 84 kg and the 2009 title at 96 kg.
He was a member of Greco-Roman Team USA after placing third at the 2009 U.S. World Team Trials. Ahearn was an All-American at the U.S. Open for seven straight years from 2003-2008.
Among his international achievements was a gold medal at the 2009 Dave Schultz Memorial International and a silver medal at the 2009 Pan American Championships. He competed in the Armed Forces Championships for two different branches, first for the U.S. Marine Corps, then the U.S. Army.
Most recently, Ahearn made a comeback in wrestling, winning the 2014 Northern Plains Regional Championships, and competing in the 2014 Greco-Roman World Team Trials in Daytona Beach, Fla. He was working as a personal trainer in the Jacksonville, Fla. community.
He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army, and a member of the Army World Class Athlete Program. Prior to that, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he was also wrestled. He attended Central Michigan University, where he wrestled and studied sports medicine. Ahearn was a Florida state high school place winner for Orange Park High School in 1998.
