“This could not have happened without the hard work of our compliance team,” said head coach Zeke Jones. “It’s a great day for him and his family to get his final year of eligibility and it couldn’t have happened to a better person because Jason exemplifies what a student-athlete is.”
At Northwestern, Tsirtsis won the NCAA championship in 2014 and was a two-time Big Ten champion at 149 pounds (2014, 2015).
