Six U.S. wrestlers including No. 1 Jordan Burroughs in June UWW Freestyle World rankings

The same six U.S. men’s freestyle wrestlers who were ranked in May also appear in the UWW World Freestyle World Rankings for June 2016. Included are three members of the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team.
2012 Olympic champion and three-time World champion Jordan Burroughs (Lincoln, Neb./Sunkist Kids/Nebraska RTC) remains at No. 1 at 74 kg/163 lbs. Burroughs won his match against Iran at the Beat the Streets “United In The Square” dual in Times Square in May. Burroughs is a 2016 U.S. Olympian.
Dropping to No. 3 at 97 kg/213 lbs. was 2015 World champion Kyle Snyder (Woodbine, Md./Titan Mercury WC/Ohio RTC). Snyder, who did not compete in May, is behind a pair of Russians, No. 1 Anzor Boltukaev and No. 2 Khadzhimurad Gatsalov. Snyder, a 2016 U.S. Olympian, was No. 2 last month.
Holding at No. 5 at 70 kg/154 lbs. is 2015 World bronze medalist James Green (Lincoln, Neb./Titan Mercury WC/Nebraska RTC), who also did not compete in May.
Two-time World bronze medalist and 2012 Olympian Tervel Dlagnev (Columbus, Ohio/Sunkist Kids/Ohio RTC) moved up on spot to No. 12 at 125 kg/275 lbs. Dlagnev, who was inactive in May, is a 2016 U.S. Olympian.
Rounding out the Americans in the rankings are Coleman Scott (Chapel Hill, N.C./Sunkist Kids) who is No. 17 at 61 kg/134 lbs. and Aaron Pico (Whittier, Calif./Titan Mercury WC), who is No. 17 at 70 kg/154 lbs.
Burroughs, Snyder, Green and Dlagnev are on the 2016 U.S. World Cup Team, which will compete at the Forum in Los Angeles, June 11-12.
