USA Wrestling Utah is hiring a full-time Utah National Team Coach to start immediately.
Responsibilities include:
• Recruit, fill and attend all state dual events
• Increase participation to regional and national level events
• Increase membership throughout the state
• Set up and run year-round national team practices
• Set up and run clinics throughout the year for the state
• Visit with, instruct and help coaches and clubs statewide
• Plan, organize and coordinate the Utah national team competition and training
• Train and compete in freestyle and/or Greco on a senior level
• Assist UVU Wolverine Club as an open coach and training partner
• Other duties as assigned
Skills required:
• Ability to lead state-level teams
• Ability to recruit athletes
• Motivates and inspires athletes
• Communicates well in person, text and email. Professional, courteous and timely
• High level wrestling/coaching skills with the ability to instruct all coaches in the state
• Demonstrate an ability and passion for character development along with wrestling development and live personal standards that will invite the trust of parents when working with athletes.
• Excellent organizational skills
