Victoria Anthony named USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week

Victoria Anthony (Huntington Beach, Calif./Titan Mercury WC) has been named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week.
Each week, TheMat.com will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level.
Anthony rolled to four victories, including a pin over two-time World bronze medalist Alyssa Lampe in the semifinals, to capture a gold medal at the Cerro Pelado International in Havana, Cuba.
She captured the women’s freestyle title at 48 kg/105.5 lbs. this past Thursday.
Anthony is off to an excellent start in 2015. She won the Dave Schultz Memorial International on Jan. 31.
Anthony is a two-time Junior World champion. She placed fifth at the 2013 Senior World Championships.
