Reece Humphrey (Indianapolis, Ind./Ohio State University) has been named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for Jan. 6-12.

Each week, TheMat.com will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level.
Humphrey was named Outstanding Wrestler in Division I after going undefeated on Jan. 10-11 at the NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
The eighth-ranked Humphrey, junior who is a two-time NCAA qualifier, went 5-0 at 133 pounds at the National Duals. He earned wins over All-American Mike Grey of Cornell, No. 2 Andrew Hochstrasser of Boise State and No. 4 Jayson Ness of Minnesota. Ness is a two-time All-American who placed second in the nation at 125 last year.
Humphrey, 18-0 this season, won a silver medal in freestyle wrestling at the 2008 University World Championships.
