Three U.S. athletes to compete in 2023 Pan American U17 Beach Championships in Mexico City, June 25

A team of three U17 athletes from North Carolina will represent the USA at the Pan American U17 Beach Championships set for Mexico City, Mexico, on Sunday, June 25.


All three have been active in Beach Wrestling on the local and national level, and plan to compete this summer at the U17 Beach World Championships.


Two 2023 U17 National champion women’s wrestlers are entered, Kennedie Snow at 60 kg and Lilly Reese at 70 kg.


Snow was a 2023 U17 Beach Nationals champion at 60 kg and 2023 16U Beach Nationals champion at 134 pounds. She was a three-time medalist at the 2023 Southeast Regionals, winning Regional titles in freestyle and folkstyle and placing second in Greco-Roman. She was Outstanding Wrestler at the Southeast Regionals. Snow is also a member of the North Carolina National Teams.


Reese was a 2023 U17 Beach Nationals champion at 70 kg. She was a two-time 16U medalist at the 2023 Southeast Regionals, placing second in freestyle and fourth in Greco-Roman. She was also a member of the North Carolina National Duals team.


Competing in the men’s division at the Pan American Championships is Kane Foley at 70 kg. Foley was a 2022 16U Beach Nationals champion at 169 lbs. and was a 2023 U17 Beach Nationals runner-up at 80 kg. Foley competed in the 2022 U17 Beach World Championships.


The competition will be held on Sunday, with session times of 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Local time in Mexico City is the same as U.S. Mountain Time Zone.
