DES MOINES, Iowa – Champions were crowned on Saturday at the two high school boys divisions at the Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals, held at Hyvee Hall at the Iowa Events Center.

In the Grade 11-12 division, Rodney Trotter, Jr. of Texas won his second title of the weekend, claiming the 285-pound title at the Preseason Nationals on Saturday. Trotter went 4-0 in a five-athlete round robin. On Friday, he also captured the title at the Boys National High School Recruiting Showcase, sweeping a three-athlete round robin.

Champions represented 12 different states in the Grade 11-12 division: California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas.

Among the champions in the Grade 9-10 division were 16U Greco-Roman National champion and U15 National double champion Thomas Verrette of Colorado (126), 16U Folkstyle National champion Bradley Rodriguez-Little of Minnesota (152) and 16U National freestyle champion and U15 National double champion Dreshaun Ross of Iowa (195).

2021 Preseason Nationals Middle School champion Jaxon Miller of Iowa moved up to the Grade 9-10 division this year and won the title at 145 pounds.

There were 13 different states represented with champions at the Grade 9-10 division: Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and Wisconsin.

When looking at both high school divisions, 18 different states had individual champions.
