Position: USA Wrestling Greco-Roman Development Coach
Reports to: USA Wrestling General Manager, Greco Roman Programs
Position Summary: USA Wrestling is seeking a highly motivated coach with a proven track record of successfully leading Greco-Roman age-group development throughout the United States. The Greco-Roman Developmental Coach is responsible for the recruitment, development, and training of our country’s top U15, U17, and U20 athletes.
Responsibilities:
• Direct and manage the OPTC Elite U20 Resident Program
o Recruit and develop top U20 athletes & integrate them into the USAW pipeline
o Develop and implement yearly competition and training schedules
• Coordinate and lead USA Wrestling’s U15, U17 and U20 Pan American & World Teams
• Develop and coordinate local, regional, national, and international training opportunities for U15, U17 and U20 athletes
• Work with the General Manager, Greco Roman Programs on learning and applying the Greco Roman curriculum as provided
• Assist the General Manager, Greco Roman Programs in development and implementation of a national talent identification program
• Work closely with USAW state chapters in regard to talent identification, athlete development as well as sport and membership growth
• Work with USA Wrestling staff, coaches, athletes, and volunteer coaches to advance Greco-Roman developmental programs
• Maintain consistent communication with all Greco-Roman stakeholders, including athletes, coaches, volunteers, and officials
• Identify potential opportunities for external funding and assist in other fundraising opportunities as directed by the General Manager, Greco-Roman Programs
• Work with the Greco-Roman National Team Coaches and National Coaches Education Program Manager to improve the Greco-Roman portion of USA Wrestling’s Core Curriculum Series
• Recruit, cultivate, and support the Greco-Roman volunteer coaching pool
• Represent USA Wrestling at international coaching clinics and conduct domestic grassroots promotional activities
• Train and recruit youth coaches to incorporate age-group developmental best practices at their clubs
• Work closely with the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) Sports Performance Staff to apply sports science principles to the sport of wrestling
• Assist in execution and development of a recruiting program aimed at drawing top-level NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA athletes to freestyle wrestling
• Assist the General Manager, Greco-Roman Programs in the development of a 4-year High-Performance Plan for each Olympic Quadrennium
• Assist the General Manager, Greco Roman Programs in developing and maintaining annual budgets
• Other duties as assigned

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or higher
Travel: Domestic and International travel is required
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be able to successfully pass a USA Wrestling background screening (prior to hire date).
• Must successfully complete SafeSport Certification within two weeks of hire date and prior to interacting with athletes.
• The USA Wrestling Office is located in Colorado Springs, CO - ability to work from the office is required.
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000
