Ocampo repeats and wins OW, Turner, Bacon and Gonzales also repeat at USMC U15 Women’s Nationals

FORT WORTH, Texas – All four 2021 U15 national champions who reached the finals won the gold medal and wre repeat champions at the USMC Women’s U15 Nationals on Saturday.
Winning U15 national titles for the second straight year are Morgan Turner of Toss Em Up Wrestling Academy (IL) at 39 kg, Emma Bacon of Pennsylvania (46 kg), Juliana Ocampo of Indiana (50 kg) and Isabella Marie Gonzales of California (54 kg).
Ocampo, who has a No. 6 national ranking in high school, dominated Mariah Dillard of Texas, in a 10-0 technical fall in the finals in 2:43. Ocampo outscored her five opponents 36-0, and had two pins and two technical falls. She was named Outstanding Wrestler
Turner, a U15 and 14U National champion last year, secured a 14-0 technical fall over Kendall Moe of Indiana in the finals.
Bacon, who also won U15 and 14U Nationals titles last year, defeated Florida star Mary Manis of the Spartan RTC FL in the finals in a 14-0 technical fall. Manis is ranked No. 10 in the nation on the high school level.
Gonzales, who won the U15 and 14U Nationals last year, needed just 36 second to score a 10-0 technical fall over Kaylyn Harrill of Nebraska in the finals. Gonzales is ranked No. 7 nationally in high school.
Sarah Henckel of Connecticut (66 kg) who is ranked No. 15 nationally, won her finals match against Sandilynn Tuinei of Nevada, 5-0.
Winning a big match in the 62 kg finals was Isis France of Arizona Girls Wrestling, who pinned nationally ranked No. 14 Jordan Fouse of Pennsylvania in 2:19.
Other individual U15 champions were Brynn Engel of Ringers WC of Wisconsin (33 kg), Jaclyn Bouzakis of Florida (36 kg), Bianca Eide of Pinnacle WC of Minnesota (42 kg) and Taina Fernandez of HeadHunters WC of Maryland (58 kg).
Bouzakis scored a 12-2 technical fall over Francesca Gustfa of Apex Wrestling Academy. Eide was an 11-0 technical fall winner over Lilly Breeden of Victory Wrestling. Fernandez scored a 10-0 technical fall over Peyton Hellman of South Dakota.
Engel beat Kadence Fogg of the Maine Trappers WC in a best-of-three series, winning in two straight, by a 10-0 technical fall and by a 7-2 margin.
The top eight placewinners from this event have qualified for the U15 Pan American Trials, which will be held this summer.
